ePrivacy has been developed by the European Centre for Certification and Privacy (ECCP) in charge of Europrivacy, the European Data Protection Seal recognized by all EU and EEA National Authorities.

It is applicable to both data controllers and processors in connection with the provision of publicly available electronic communications services in public communication networks in the EU.
